Suzanne Sadowsky
DIRECTOR
Suzanne grew up in Brooklyn and lived in Manhattan after graduation from Alfred University in 1956. She moved to Woodacre from the Los Angeles area in 1975. Her daughter and grandchildren grew up here and attended the Lagunitas Community School. Suzanne was an Economist for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics until her retirement in 1990. For twenty years from 1997 until 2007 she worked at the Associate Director of San Geronimo Valley Community Center doing program and fund development. Suzanne has served on the boards of West Marin Senior Services, the Coastal Health Alliance, and Gan HaLev. She joined the board of the San Geronimo Valley Affordable Housing Association in 2014 and served as its Chair until 2022. Suzanne currently serves as a Commissioner representing Supervisory District 4 on the Marin County Commission on Aging. The lack of affordable community housing for working people, for seniors, single adults and families with children is preventing many members of our community from living healthy successful lives here in our community. We need to create more multi-generational affordable housing for people of all income levels, ages, and backgrounds to preserve the caring, creative character of the Valley, our school, and our local community organizations.
