Linda “Howie” Cort was fortunate enough to stumble upon The Valley, with her sweetheart, Dave, in 1978 as a twenty-one year old after meeting in Chicago and moving west.

TREASURER

Louis has lived in Marin County for 50 years; Stinson Beach, Mill Valley and now Woodacre for the past 9 years. Louis has raised six children and has three grandchildren. 

DIRECTOR

A founding member of the San Geronimo Valley Affordable Housing Association, after graduating from Niagara University, Joe Walsh served in the US Navy—two cruises on the USS Constellation, 314 landings in the F-4 Phantom, and 12 missions over Viet Nam and Laos.

DIRECTOR

Kit was born in Madison Wisconsin in 1947. He is the oldest of 6 children and grew up in suburban Milwaukee (lots of snow etc.). Kit is dedicated to creating a significant base of environmentally friendly, below market rate housing in the San Geronimo and Nicasio Valley communities using the Community Land Trust model.

DIRECTOR

Suzanne grew up in Brooklyn and lived in Manhattan after graduation from Alfred University in 1956. She moved to Woodacre from the Los Angeles area in 1975.

Janet moved to the San Geronimo Valley in 1984. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to stay in the Valley and joined the Board in 2023 to help make the same option available to other people unable to afford the rising cost of living here.

A passionate advocate for affordable housing, John believes that secure, stable homes are the bedrock of vibrant, inclusive communities where people of all backgrounds can flourish.

DIRECTOR

Raised in Queens, New York, doreen came to California in her early 20s after living in Ireland, Japan, and Central America while attending Friends World College. Those experiences sparked a lifelong commitment to community, equity, and public service.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Hal Russek has spent most of his professional life in the hospitality business as owner/proprietor of multiple restaurants in the Bay Area, among them Enrico’s, a cultural landmark in San Francisco.

PROPERTY MANAGER & MAINTENANCE

John and Denise Bohman are the property management team for Two Valleys Community Land Trust. Denise handles general and tenant management and John the maintenance for both the Forest Knolls Mobile Home Park and Sage Lane Senior Housing.

The Bohmans take pride in the changes in the Mobile home park over the years. It is a peaceful, diverse and friendly place to live and many of their homeowners have been their friends, neighbors and some family for more than 20 years.
